Hello you beautiful people!
I know that it has been a very, VERY long time but we are still going strong. There were some terrible medical issues that I had to face that prevented me from going out and doing what I love. Moving past that I can say that I am very excited to see what the future of Art and music holds.
Stay tuned because March will be an amazing month full of Events, Art, and love!
I missed you all and I will see you all soon!!!!

2017!!!!
HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!!!!
It has been 9 loooonnngggg months and so much has happened. I got caught up in the "being an adult" life and completely neglected my writing....for this I truly apologize. I have been to some awesome events, met AMAZINGLY talented artists, and had the opportunity to clear my head so I can share this all with you guys. First I would like to thank you all for reading and sharing my blog to your friends and thank the artists for allowing me to write about them.
This year wil be all about the artists and their music. There will be more Artist Spotlights (hopefully I can get some big names in here), more event videos (I got a new phone LOL), and more thoughts about the rave scene.
I haven't forgotten any of you.
We lost so many of our family members and I would like to take the time to say that my heart breaks with you all and I hope that you find peace and comfort. My prayers are with you and the families of those we loss.
Beginning in April, I will beging my 2017 edition of Artist Spotlights. Each month (8 in total) I will try to feature a new artist. I will be posting this on my FaceBook page so feel free to message me. I will also be checking my emails and the comments posted on this blog.
Later this week there will be a recap of this month and all the amazing events I have hadd the honor to attend. Stay tuned!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT 3- KAIRO ADVENTURES IN THE WORLD OF DARKHOUSE
I waited a while to feature this artist because i had to find the right way to put so much amazing information down in a way that would make sense to everyone LOL. I honesty LOVE his work and have a lot of his old work on constant repeat.
For those that may not know him I would like to introduce you to the dual named Artist AND Producer Kairo/Darkhouse!!!
In 2010 he began DJ'ing under the name Darkhouse. During that time he stimulated the audience with his unique Hardstyle flavors that kept the crowd on the floor. In 2013, he changed his name to Kairo and began dabbling in the art of good old Techno and House giving everyone great memories of the beginnings of rave music. Very versatile in his craft, he missed Hardstyle and its hard banging beats and currently dedicates his time to producing and mixing some amazing Hardstlye tracks.
When asked what inspired him to get into music he had a huge list of artists.
K/D- I am inspired by artists Radial Redemption, Wasted Minds, Neophyte, Evil Activities, Promo, Warface, Delete, Malice, and Thera.
Why do you love DJ'ing?
K/D- I DJ because I love hard dance music and I want to share it with people young and old every single chance I get.
What is your goal as a DJ that you hope to accomplish?
K/D- My ultimate goal would be to release with Night Breed, Theracords, and Gearbox one day.
INTERNATIONAL BABY!!!! Let the whole world hear you!!
Where would you love to play if you could?
K/D- I would love to play on stage at Defqon, Dominator, Loudness and Intents.
He ended with this statement.....
I want to be on of the few Americans to represent the harder styles in a community mostly dominated by Europeans.
With a goal like that you can do nothing but respect this guys' mindset.
Kairo/Darkhouse began his project Purge and Purify. It is 3 mixes over the span of 3 weeks. On the final week he will release his last mix, a track all his own AND samples for fellow producers. You can find the project here:
https://soundcloud.com/jtsnyc/purge-and-purify-week-2
Purge and Purify is available for free download!!!
Keep an eye out for him cause his dedication and skill as a DJ and Producer is off the chain. His passion truly shows and his no filter attitude is so refreshing. Humble and brutally honest about what he wants, Kai gives you something new every single time he drops a mix, entertains a crowd, and when he drops a track.
You can find some of his original Progressive House tracks on Beatport as Kairo. Show your love and support to him! I LOVE "Got Dat" and "Temple"!
https://www.beatport.com/artist/kairo/247271
This was an amazing and fun interview. Lot's of laughter and jokes but I am so happy that I was able to end this first batch or Artist Spotlights with such and amazingly talented DJ and Producer. I wish him the best of luck and look forward to seeing him on stage again and hopefully interviewing him again in the near future. Now it's time for me to blast some of his music and get ready for next month's Artists Spotlights. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity. Keep up the great work!!!!

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT 2- A SIT DOWN WITH UP AND COMING ARTIST DINGMVN!!
HELLO BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!
I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU ALL TO THE ARTIST THAT BLEW ME AWAY DURING MY TRIP TO ALBANY.
I MENTIONED HIM DURING MY TRIP TO ALBANY FOR THE MALICE IN WONDERLAND EVENT (http://anonymousraver2013.blogspot.com/2016/05/malice-in-wonderland-amazement-in-albany.html). FOR HIS FIRST EVENT HE DID A FANTASTIC JOB AND TRULY DESERVES THIS SPOTLIGHT!
I chose to do a piece about him because it is very rare that new DJ's get recognized for their passion and talents. He opened in Albany and set the dance floor on fire. I was truly shocked at the smoothness of his transitions and how effortless he made his set appear. I have arrived early to hundreds of events over the years and to see a dance floor so alive at 9pm was mind-blowing.
There was no doubt that I wanted to feature him and I hope you all keep track of this young man and show him all the love and support necessary to help him grow. Ladies and Gentlemen...........DINGMVN!
DINGMVN: My name is literally my last name Dingman i exchanged the A for V to make it awesome HAHAHA!
I was going to ask him how he chose his name then I realized that it is a word play of his actual name soooo i felt silly for a good hour LOL.
Privately DJ'ing and perfecting his craft for 8 years, Dingmvn had his first event gig for the Albany Hard Dance crew on April 30, 2016. Dingmvn is 22 years old and hails from Ballston Spa, NY.
AR- So what got you into dj'ing and music?
D- I've always loved music doesn't matter what genre. I downloaded Virtual DJ because I felt like messing around with it. I loved that i could put whatever music I wanted together and transform it into anything I wanted. When Skrillex came into the scene, his work was what kept me enthusiastic to keep at it. Him coming into the industry gave me motivation.
AR- Can you elaborate?
D- I've always liked electronic music but nothing really kept me interested like he did.
AR- What genres do you gear towards and prefer to play?
D- The genres i gear towards mostly is Dubstep, Trap, Melbourne Bounce, and really any type of house and anything you can dance to.
AR- What do you do musically other than DJ'ing?
D- I love beatboxing if thats something musical (IT IS!) other than Djing but recently, most of my time has been devoted to djing. I'm also trying out Ableton in order to come up with whatever I can on there. Trying to learn everything possible as well as learn how to use Serum and Massive perfectly.
AR- What do you hope to portray to your audience with your music?
D- I hope to portray my free music spirit and for my audience to hear every sound as perfect as it is in my head, if that makes sense, but really I just want them to dance and have a great time.
AR- How do you come up with the idea when making a track or building a set?
D- With my set I like my tracks to start off slow give you something to chew on for a little bit then build up to have you out of breath and asking for more by the end of it.
(I must admit that he did this and I had to catch myself LOL)
AR- What do you wish to accomplish as a DJ?
D- What do I want to accomplish as a dj? I just really want to continue to have fun playing the music that I love and see other people having the same fun but i hope to someday play my own music and to have people enjoy my tracks.
(I hope to see you achieve that goal!)
AR- So, who do you consider to be your favorite local and "famous DJ's?
D- My favorite local DJ's are Y2J, NGHTWRK, Ken3tic (Sorry they are all a tie) As for famous DJ's I would have to either be Skrillex or Ghastly. I really can't choose between those genres!! HAHA
(I like a little bit of the Skrill LOL)
AR- Who do you consider to be a big influence on your art?
D- The one person who has had the biggest influence on my music has been Dillon Francis. His sounds are so bouncy and fun,yet so dirty and grimy all at the same time. I love it!
I wanted to figure out where he would love to play one day. Often times a lot of new DJ's talk about huge events, touring the world, and rocking some of the hugest stages known to the scene. DINGMVN gave me an answer that brought back some fun, dark and dirty memories. When I asked him what would be the one place he would love to play at he said this
D- One place I'd love to play would have to be Basement Saturdays at Webster hall in NYC. I had the best time ever there and I would like to relive it as a performing DJ instead of just a spectator!
We often forget that new DJ's actually exist. We don't take the time to invest in those that truly have a passion for this art and try their hardest to put out some amazing music for others. DJ'ing can be written off as a fad in this day and age where respect for the art isn't shown. Deep down I admit to being like that to at times. When I had the chance to hear DINGMVN, I realized that he gave me a huge reality check. He showed me what hard work and dedication it. That with 8 years of fine tuning (if you're all wondering he started at 14) he finally felt comfortable enough to hit the stage and share his passion with everyone.
I want to say to you DINGMVN, thank you for allowing me to interview you. Thank you for giving me a taste of what I missed. May you continue to be passionate and dedicated to the art of DJ'ing. I hope to see you on any stage real soon. Keep up the fantastic work and sta true to your roots.
Check out his page, send some love, encouragement and positive vibes to this young artist!!

VERY FIRST ARTIST SPOTLIGHT!! THE SUPREME SYNTH SLAYER: THE TALENTED JOEY ELECTRIC
HELLO YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!
I am so excited to begin this project of mine. Over the years I have been so lucky to meet and hear music from some truly amazing artists. They give all they got to their audience and have captivated my senses. I remember my first time seeing this artist perform on stage. His dark, sensuous beats trapped me in a web of fascination. I finally got the courage to reach out and ask him to be my very first Artist Spotlight Interview. So......Without any further blah blah blah, I would like to introduce you all to the Tall, Dark, and Handsome SYNTH SLAYER JOEY ELECTRIC!!!!!
Joey Electric is a Hard Style, Goth, and Industrial genre DJ. currently with the company Morlock Musik. In the winter of 2006 he began DJ'ing and added a little dark beauty to all those that had the honor to hear him.
I chatted with him via Facebook and in the midst of my excitement I didn't realize how many questions I threw his way.
Within the world of my excitement, I had to begin by asking the age old interview question...
Joey Electric- My name stems from the electricity that runs through everything to produce and play electronic music. From the mixer to the turntables, CDJ's, drum machines, synthesizers and computers that can sometimes make sterile sounds. My persona is me. It's the kid in middle school that painted his nails black and wore all black even in the summer. It's all consuming of me just being the kid that liked listening to Front 242 records and singing along to The Cure and Depeche Mode records.
So I was hoping that I could be nosey and I try to get some personal info from him and the responses left me giggling for about 30 minutes and I had to walk away from my computer for a bit.
JE- I am from Hades. I am as old as time but still very young in spirit.
(I think Hades is a pretty cool place if Joey is there rocking it out with the dark beats.)
AR- What inspires you musically and what else do you do when you are not DJ'ing?
JE- I was inspired by the Dark musical landscapes of some of my
favorite Artists. This includes Blaqk Audio, The Shiny Toy Guns, and VNV
Nation. Some of my other musical endeavors included doing vocals
for a Death Metal/Hardcore band called In Dire Need. Also, I learned a bit
about the Bass to play in a band called FUF. It was a Death/Grind band based
out of my hometown of New Bedford, Massachusetts.
AR- Do you produce of your own tracks? If so, how does that help you when making tracks. Have you ever heard a track so good, or so bad, that made you want to remix or modify it and add your own personal touch?
JE- Currently, I am in the process of learning production. I put a lot of time in at the Under Dark Studio to work toward releasing more original content. I am still in the learning process of production so if I could do a remix it would be of an older track that I really enjoying dansing to.....
I wanted to dig a bit deeper and know what he wished to portray to his audience when he played. What he wanted them to feel every time they heard a set or mix from Joey Electric.
JE- I hope to immerse the crowd in a dark dense musical landscape
with unholy mixes and pulsing oscillators.
JE- When it comes to building a set I think mostly in terms of
sound and emotion. Not necessarily a specific song or Artist. Mostly the way
that it will affect the crowd. It could be two lovers kissing on the danse
floor because a song brings them back to a nostalgic time. Or a group of kids
stomping and moshing because they had a tough week and need to get their energy
out on the Death Danse Floor. When it comes to building a track my inspiration comes from
nature mostly the sonic energy that is all around us. Also, the macabre and a
side of humans that doesn't contain light.
JE- As a DJ I hope to accomplish many things mainly to play out
more around the United Sates and play more over in Europe. As a young producer I hope to make more music that will make
people contemplate their surroundings and Danse.
I got curious and I wanted to know who it favorite local DJ was in his town and who his favorite "famous" DJ was. I also wanted to know who he considered to be a big influence on his art.
JE- I have a lot of friends that are local DJ's. DJ's that have inspired me and made me want to pick up a
record include DJ Venom, Brad Rhodes, Mark Lavelle, Ian Ford and Chris Ewin. In my eyes all of them are famous. They truly inspire and
keep this scene moving into the future. A big influence on my art are artists that use heavy layered
synth and the occult.
AR- What is one place you would LOVE to perform?
JE- One place that I would love to perform at would be playing
the BassCon Stage at EDC in Las Vegas, anything by Q-Dance in the Netherlands, a
Gothic Festival in Canada or Germany. Also, to continue playing locally with
all of my friends whom are talented DJ's/Producers and Artist.
(I hope to see it happen one day too!)
After taking a little break to get all this information processed I thought about all the artist I have seen and I wondered what they did to hype themselves up for a set. Joey's answer was very humbling.
JE- I get excited about upcoming sets by recollecting on how I
got to be at that specific place and that specific time. I breathe in and feel
all of the gratitude that is around me.
I had t ask the all time favorite question of mine.
AR- Do you have any advice for those that wish to get into DJ'ing or just starting out?
JE- Yes for sure. follow your dreams and love what you are doing.
We ended this interview with this final statement from Joey Electric:
I hope that you enjoy my mixes Death.Danse.Repeat. Graver Podcasts and look out for my newest track "Crucifix Kiss" and a Goth/Industrial Collaboration with my good friend DJ Venom called Cholo Legosi.
Slay Them With Synth!
Slay Them With Synth!
I want to say to you Joey, thank YOU for being so fun and easy to talk to for this interview. Thank you for your love, passion, and dedication to music and the scene. I wish you all the very best in all you do and I hope to see you on stage soon.

GETTING LOUD, LIBERATED AND VAPING!!
On May 21st I took the long journey to a little Long Island vape shop called Cherry Valley Vape. There I got the grand opportunity to see how much people truly care about the culture of rave and all the hard work, dedication, and love that promoters and DJs put into keeping it alive.

LOUD AND LIBERATED: The Reunion was a joint effort of some amazing old school artists and a unique and friendly vape shop. It began as a live broadcast in 2009 and ended in 2011. The artist brought it back to us all in a major and fantastic way.
The event had several respected DJs such as Jen Mas, Hardbass Addicts, "The princess of Hardstyle" Lauren Valentine, How Hard and so many others, there was BBQ, drinks, a raffle in which you could win merch from Cherry Valley Vape and TONS of love.
The event was even live streamed for those that were unable to attend.
I must truly say that this small event was incredible. So many dedicated people came out and not only supported the scene but also supported this shop. The shop has so many great patrons that came out and got their first taste of rave culture and the people that attend raves. The sound was amazing and the artists even sat down for interviews and commentary between sets.
It was a unique experience that I hope continues at Cherry Valley Vape. The knowledge of the staff is beyond amazing and they are easy to talk to and work with.
The Loud And Liberated crew did such an amazing job in turning a unique shop into an outstanding rave. Things like this make me so very proud to be a raver. Thank you for giving us your love, dedication, passion and spirit.
Just to keep you all in the loop here is the amazing line-up and information about the shop. I STRONGLY suggest that if you guys are ever in West Hempstead, LI to stop by, say plur and check out CHERRY VALLEY VAPE. You will not be disappointed!!!
